Encoder measuring wheels allow rotary encoders to measure linear distance. EPC offers measuring wheels in both US customary units and metric circumferences. Urethane, aluminum, and hard knurled aluminum wheels have a wide contact surface with a variety of faced coatings, whereas rubber insert measuring wheels feature a replaceable rubber insert that is easy to set up, maintain, and replace (if the rubber wears out), and meets most general-purpose requirements.
