Bore Inserts

Several EPC Accu-Coder® and Accu-CoderPro® thru-bore and blind hollow bore models use interchangeable bore adaptors. These allow the encoder to be applied to shafts of varying diameters.

These bore adaptors are made of Ultem 1000 composite material, have a continuous service temperature in air up to 170° C, and provide a measure of thermal and electrical isolation as well. Excellent for use in applications with a high level of wear and tear, these bore adaptors are a higher-performance option than shaft adaptors.

EPC also offers specialty shaft adaptors for selected servo motor applications. Bore adaptor kits allow for field replacement when needed.

The bore adaptors are listed with the EPC model number they are most frequently sold with, but can be used on other EPC encoders. Contact Tech Support for more information.
